You will be part of the Enablement Tech & Platforms department within Group Digitalisation, which drives digital innovation through shared, secure platforms and technologies that accelerate business impact. 

As part of our cloud team, you will play a key role in developing, modernizing, and driving Saab's cloud environments. The role will be tailored to your experience and ambitions – from deep technical implementation to strategic architecture and contributions to our Cloud initiatives.

You will:

• Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure in Azure and AWS, leveraging commercial cloud offerings to deliver scalable, secure, high-availability solutions.
• Combine cloud services and tooling into solutions that support business areas and product development, focusing on engineering needs rather than traditional enterprise IT.
• Drive Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with Terraform, AWS CDK, ARM, or similar.
• Build and optimize container platforms (Kubernetes, AKS, etc.).
• Work with advanced cloud networking, distributed services, CDNs, and security architecture.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and backup solutions to ensure operational excellence.
• Support DevOps and development teams, promote CI/CD, and enable cloud-native ways of working.
• Contribute to technical leadership — mentor colleagues, share knowledge, and strengthen our engineering culture.
• Collaborate with the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and Enterprise Architecture to define strategies, best practices, and target architectures.

For senior or architect-focused profiles, you will also:

• Lead the cloud platform, including guardrails, engineering standards, monitoring, logging, and backup strategies.
• Drive cloud transformation initiatives, ideally with prior experience from enterprise, automotive, defence, or consulting environments.
• Prototype complex solutions, run proof-of-concepts, and guide architectural initiatives with the lead architect.

We are looking for communicative, solution-oriented team players with a genuine interest in cloud technology. You are curious, collaborative, flexible, and passionate about cloud innovation, eager to learn, share knowledge, and support colleagues across both development and architecture.

Your background may vary, but you likely have:

• You have 3+ years of experience working with AWS and/or Azure in cloud engineering or architecture, and candidates with deeper experience are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, backup solutions, CI/CD, and cloud automation
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and container platforms (Terraform, CDK, ARM, Docker, Kubernetes/AKS)
• Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals such as networking, security, identity, and core cloud services
• Experience contributing to or participating in a cloud transformation journey (e.g., on-prem to AWS/Azure)
• Experience from enterprise environments, preferably in automotive, defence, R&D, or product development settings
• Fluent in Swedish and English

Bonus points for (especially valuable for Cloud Architects):

• Experience helping build or guide cloud platforms, including guardrails, monitoring/logging standards, and backup frameworks
• Experience from regulated industries, large enterprises, or consulting roles in cloud transformation
• Ability to translate business needs into clear architectural direction
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Background in product development, R&D, DevSecOps, or developing developer-focused cloud platforms

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
