Senior Quality

Randstad is seeking a senior Quality consultant for a critical interim assignment in Gothenburg. In this key position within Product Introduction (PI), you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality and smooth handover of trains to the customer. It combines technical problem-solving with process leadership, and you will act as the primary Quality interface with the customer in an exciting and socially vital industry (Green Mobility).

Qualifications
We are looking for a senior consultant with a robust background who can step in and deliver results immediately. You should be a driven engineer with a hybrid profile in Quality and Project Management.

Experience & Background

• 4–6 years of experience in a similar position such as Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• You hold an Engineering degree (M.Sc./B.Sc.).
• You have a background from a similar industry (e.g., automotive, aerospace, heavy industry). Previous experience with Trains is a big bonus.

Methodology & Systems

• Documented experience with Root Cause Analysis (8D) and Non-Conformance Handling (NCR).
• Experience working with Quality Management Systems according to ISO 9001 and/or IRIS (ISO/TS
• Proficient user of technical systems for issue and document management. Experience with SAP (especially Quality Module) is meritorious.
• Familiarity with FRACAS and REX is meritorious.

Language & Practical

• Fluency in English (mandatory). Swedish and German are meritorious.
• Location: You should be based in the Gothenburg region.
• Travel: Be available for 1–2 business trips per month within Sweden for customer checks/depot visits.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Specialist, you own and lead the final and most critical phase of the train delivery. You hold the total Quality responsibility for the handover process and coordinate the work within a small team.

Your Primary Responsibilities Include

• Lead the Handover: Responsible for leading and quality-assuring the entire handover process of new vehicles, including ensuring that vehicles meet all safety and quality requirements before entering commercial operation.
• Quality Assurance & Non-Conformance Handling: Own and close all outstanding items/defects on the vehicles (OIL-list) and manage quality checks/audits, including leading the Final Quality Assurance Gate.
• Process Improvement: Drive structural improvement by leading Root Cause Analysis (8D), managing NCR-cases (Non-Conformance Reports), and actively contributing to the FRACAS and REX (Return of Experience) processes to increase vehicle reliability.
• Customer Interface: Act as the face towards the customer regarding quality issues, conduct contractual discussions with the client, and manage visibility into Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) results.
