Lab Technician, Lund

Fuel innovation, elevate safety, and become the heartbeat of our lab environments As a Lab Technician, you'll support our development projects by ensuring smooth, safe and well-organized laboratory operations. You'll work hands-on with equipment, guide colleagues, and secure the high standards needed for our production machines and lab spaces. This position is located in Lund, Sweden, where you'll be the go-to person for our lab environments.

Who is your future team?

You will be part of a team of 10 engineering technicians that build, deliver and support high volume production machines for Axis´ production sites. The team is part of Global Manufacturing, is 1st line support for Axis´ production sites and collaborates with many different stakeholders - development projects, suppliers and production sites. What you'll do here as Lab Technician

As a lab technician, you are responsible for ensuring a well-functioning and safe laboratory environment for our development projects. You act as contact person for our lab environments, keep track of bookings, support development projects, instruct and follow up on ways of working.

Your main tasks include:

• Inventory and refill of consumables, as well as ensuring that necessary protective equipment is available in all lab environments.
• Conducting annual risk assessments of laboratory areas, equipment, and chemicals to maintain a safe working environment.
• Performing calibration, servicing, and maintenance of production machines and laboratory equipment.
• Representing the department during tours and presentations for other departments and visitors.
• Establishing, maintaining, and following up on documentation regarding guidelines, procedures, and rules for laboratory use. Ensuring compliance by projects utilizing the lab environments.
• Supporting project staff with information and practical assistance regarding laboratory equipment, procedures, and material handling.
• Travels to Axis´ production sites for service and maintenance of production machines.

Who are we looking for/Who are you?

You have an open and social personality and as you will be the contact person for several lab areas you are comfortable with giving guidance and following up on ways of working. Maybe you have experience from another technical job giving service to customers. You are structured, enjoy keeping things in order and can handle many different tasks.

• You have a technical background, a strong technical interest and enjoy hands-on work in a technical environment
• It is a bonus if you have worked with technical issues in a customer service setting.
• You are familiar with Occupational Health & Safety/work environment standards.
• You will travel 2-4 weeks/year to Axis´ production sites in Europe, South America or Asia.
