The Role

About the Role

The Test Vehicles & Logistics Department is responsible for the complete lifecycle of test vehicles throughout the development process. Our diverse fleet includes multiple vehicle types and brands across the organization.

As a Test Vehicle Technician / Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring that test vehicles are built, updated, maintained, and ready for testing according to project requirements. You will work in a cross-functional team closely connected to product development, workshops, suppliers, and test organizations.

You will work at the forefront of electric vehicle development in a dynamic, international environment. You will contribute directly to cutting-edge products and collaborate with some of the most respected automotive brands in the world.

The team is based at Test Site Säve, with test vehicles located across Sweden and internationally.

Description of the Assignment

• Delivery service of test vehicles prior to registration and handover
• Harness and ETC builds according to project requests
• Electrical and mechanical fault tracing on complete vehicles
• Software and hardware updates based on work orders
• Repair and rebuild work during the vehicle lifecycle
• De-preparation of vehicles after completed lifecycle
• Electrical fault tracing in early development phases where configurations are not fully integrated
• Update and modify test vehicles according to project needs
• Support product development activities
• Support at suppliers and participate in test expeditions
• Ensure timely delivery with the right quality
• Support daily workshop operations
• Maintain good workshop order according to 5S principles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent long-term practical experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a workshop technician working with complete vehicles (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of complete vehicles (HW / SW / EV systems)
• Experience in electrical fault tracing using diagnostic and analysis tools (e.g. DSA, ZDS, VIDA)
• Experience with CAN tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, INCA is a merit
• Good general computer skills
• Valid B driver's license
• Forklift license
• HV certification (power up / power down) is a merit
• Hot work certification is a merit
• Intermediate level of English, both spoken and written
• Domestic and international travel is required and may occur on short notice
• IT tools: Office 365
• Teamcenter Automotive: Viewer level
