We are looking for an insurance professional to lead our Corporate A&H business in the Northern Region (Nordics and Benelux). We are looking for an individual with market knowledge, can do attitude and drive to lead and manage our talented team. We are looking for an individual to be placed in one of our offices in either Nordics or Benelux. Position will require traveling from time to time within Europe.

Key Responsibilities

• P&L Responsibility – Prepare and execute a business plan for the Corporate A&H  with key actions and tactics. Delivering and exceeding the Corporate A&H  financial plan.
• Strategy Development: Set strategies and tactics based on market analysis, company appetite, and competitor insights.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain excellent relationships with brokers, clients, and key stakeholders.
• Market Understanding: Continuously monitor and understand market conditions and changes.
• Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and enhance existing programs and partnerships.
• Team Management: Oversee a team based in the Benelux and Nordics  and drive team's development. Working with regional managers to ensure the provision of appropriate training and mentoring support in the team to support appropriate authority delegation. Support a robust succession planning is in place across the practice. 
• Underwriting Referral: act as the main referral point for A&H Corporate in the region. 
• Product Development: Developing and seeking out new opportunities to innovate within A&H Corporate, working with other stakeholders (including other Product lines) to generate new ideas. Regularly conduct and share market research and intelligence. Identify and harness new opportunities. 
• Operational Management - Understanding, interpreting, and communicating to the team effectively the Strategic Priorities of the Line of Business. Continually monitoring and effectively managing the allocation of resource to meet business objectives, partly through input to People Mangers, ensuring external priorities and broker needs are constantly at the forefront of our decision-making process.  Shaping and refreshing roles for employees, maximising both individual employees' and the team's potential. Manage, track and review performance of the team and individual team members.

Profile requirements

• Education: Suitable degree in business administration, economics, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in the insurance market, including people management. Experience in a multinational environment is preferred.
• Market Knowledge: Familiarity with the Nordic and/or Benelux insurance market, particularly in corporate insurance.
• Skills:
  • Excellent communication and commercial acumen.
  • A "can-do" attitude, team player mentality, and client-oriented focus.
  • Service-minded and open to working outside regular business hours if necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Fluency in English (written and oral).
