About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fluent Commerce Order Management System (OMS) Consultant.  The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing the Fluent Commerce OMS platform within a retail or e-commerce environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Fluent Commerce OMS modules and workflows.
  2. Customize and optimize order orchestration, inventory visibility, fulfillment logic, routing rules, and order lifecycle processes.
  3. Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to integrate Fluent OMS with e-commerce platforms, ERP, WMS, POS, and other enterprise systems.
  4. Develop and maintain JSON/YAML configurations, event-based workflows, and business rules.
  5. Troubleshoot system issues, conduct root cause analyses, and propose improvement solutions.
  6. Support testing phases (SIT/UAT) and ensure high-quality delivery.
  7. Document system configurations, workflows, and technical specifications.
  8. Provide knowledge transfer and user support to business and technical teams.
  9. Ensure OMS performance, reliability, and compliance with business SLAs.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce OMS, including configuration and workflow design.
  2. Strong understanding of order management, fulfillment processes, stock availability, and routing logic.
  3. Practical expertise with APIs (REST/GraphQL), event-driven architecture, JavaScript/TypeScript, and cloud-native platforms (AWS preferred).
  4. Experience integrating OMS with enterprise systems such as ERP, WMS, eCommerce (e.g., Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Adobe Commerce).
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of retail/e-commerce operations.
  6. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, multicultural teams.
