At Payloads & Flight Systems, we design, build, and integrate unique scientific experiments for sounding rockets, stratospheric balloons, and other space platforms. Our work transforms complex customer needs into reliable technical systems that perform flawlessly under the toughest conditions.

Requirements

YOUR ROLE

As our Technician, you will play an important role in the later stage of the development lifecycle with focus on creating electromechanical parts and assembly of the scientific experiments. You'll work closely with engineers from various disciplines to ensure our payloads meet demanding requirements for precision, reliability, and safety.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Translating design drawings to cable harness
• Repairing/adjusting electronical systems by manual soldering and crimping
• Manufacturing and assembly of small and sometimes delicate mechanical parts
• Maintenance of workshops and supporting tool calibration
• Assembling and integrating scientific payloads for rockets and balloons
• Participating and performing tests and verifications related to mechanical integrity and functionality.

Responsibilities

WHO YOU ARE

You have a background as a technician with hands-on skills from electromechanical and mechanical work and have a genuine interest in space technology. You thrive when you create physical products which are custom made according to specifications.

To succeed in this role, you likely have:

• Experience from manual manufacturing of cable harness and manual soldering on PCBs.
• Experienced user of the typical small workshop tools
• Practical experience in mechanical assembly and testing
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

We also believe you are steady at hand, focused, solution-oriented, and have a drive in delivering high-quality results at the right time.
