Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Greater Gothenburg Metropolitan Area. As a Substation Engineer and Relay Expert, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of substation systems. Your daily responsibilities will include performing relay protection coordination studies, commissioning and testing protective relays, and collaborating with the analytics team to improve fault detection accuracy. You will also be involved in troubleshooting power quality issues, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and supporting the integration of renewable energy sources into the power grid.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in protection, relay design, and coordination in substation systems
  • Strong background in power systems engineering, fault analysis, and power quality improvement
  • Experience in commissioning, testing, and maintaining protective relays
  • Proficiency in simulation tools and relay configuration tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Prior experience with explainable AI solutions in energy systems is a plus
