Are you an experienced Hardware Engineer? Do you want to be part of exciting projects and contribute with your expertise throughout the whole chain from concept, through testing and implementation to final product at Micropower?

Micropower is an international company headquartered in Växjö, Sweden. With strong in-house expertise, we develop and produce efficient, intelligent lithium-ion batteries, charging systems, and power converters. We operate in Sweden, the USA, Germany, Finland, Italy.

What you'll do

In this role you will work with hardware design and construction on printed circuit boards and electronic components. You document outcomes, follow-up and continuously drive improvements to product and processes. We work agile. Together with colleagues and specialists you work cross-functionally and in accordance with Jira and report to Lead Hardware Engineering. In meetings and discussions with suppliers and potential suppliers you have an expert role. You also have customer contact regarding requirements specifications, quality issues and possible bugs.

Requirements:

  • Academic education in electronics, electrical engineering or other relevant education
  • At least five years of experience in hardware design
  • Experience in hardware design, with electronic schematics and PCB
  • Experience in working in a requirements management system
  • Experience in Testing and verification of the design of construction
  • Experience in EMC testing
  • Experience in CAD (meritorious if in Altium)
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing
