Lead Mechanical Completion / Lead Commissioning Engineer

In this role, you will be responsible for leading all mechanical completion and commissioning activities for a new chemical recycling project in Stenungsund, Sweden. The project involves the construction of an innovative unit for chemical recycling of plastic waste, converting end-of-life plastics into recycled feedstock for the production of new polymers. The first three months will be spent in Lysaker, Norway, followed by work at the construction site in Sweden.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate all mechanical completion and commissioning activities for systems and equipment
• Develop, review, and update commissioning procedures, test documentation, and checklists
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Collaborate closely with the engineering team in Norway and the site team in Sweden
• Report progress, manage punch lists, and oversee the final handover to the client

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in commissioning or mechanical completion within petrochemical or recycling projects
• Proven experience in writing and implementing commissioning procedures
• Excellent command of English with strong communication and leadership skills
