In response to our fast growth and market expansion, we are looking for a Senior Algorithm Developer to join our Supply Heuristics team.

What we need you to do and be

• You will work with a team of developers and solution architects passionate about solving hard optimization problems and building scalable algorithms for global consumer goods manufacturers.
• You will design and develop heuristic optimization algorithms inside our RELEX Plan platform using Java, leveraging our in-memory Fastorm database engine.
• You will contribute to expanding algorithm functionality, optimizing performance, and implementing robust testing and benchmarking frameworks.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data models and testing infrastructure that support large-scale supply chain planning solutions.

 What you'll bring to the table

• Minimum of five years of production-quality software development experience with Java (or a similar language)
• Solid understanding of good software development practices: clean code, testing, and code reviews
• Proficiency with version control tools (Git)
• Proven experience in developing and optimizing performance-critical software
• Strong understanding of algorithm development—from concept and evaluation to production implementation
• Willingness to take ownership, help others succeed, and contribute to team planning
• Friendly and collaborative mindset
• Comfortable with using AI in your everyday work and developing the use of AI tools as a larger organizational strategy
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• As a bonus, we consider the experience of working with an international team, plus great communication and organizational skills 

As a bonus, we consider:

• Deep mathematical knowledge, especially in combinatorial and network flow optimization
• Experience with concurrent computing and relational databases
• Familiarity with Unix-based operating systems
• Background in supply chain planning or the CPG/manufacturing industry
• Experience leading or facilitating software development planning
