Merchant Group comprises Merchant Core, Growth, Operations Management, New Business sub-groups containing 25+ teams . These are cross-functional teams built with different skill sets, and we expect product engineers to collaborate with Data, Design and Product, ensuring we're fulfilling our Merchants' needs.

What you'll be doingAs an iOS Engineer in Wolt's Merchant Group, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of the merchant experience. We are building a brand-new, business-critical product that will empower hundreds of thousands of restaurants, supermarkets, and retailers to serve millions of customers worldwide - and you'll have the opportunity to influence it from its very first line of code.
In this role, you'll design, implement, and refine the tools that merchants use every day - whether it's managing menus and orders, tracking performance, or scaling their business. You'll work closely with designers, analysts, product leads, and fellow engineers to ensure the app is intuitive, reliable, and scalable as our merchant base rapidly grows.
This is a chance to build from scratch with modern best practices, collaborate with some of the best engineers in the industry. At Wolt, we value autonomy, ownership, and technical excellence. Our humble expectations- Working with senior developers in architecting and building key components of modern iOS applications, leveraging both existing technology assets and new tools such as modern Swift, general concurrency principles and Swift native concurrency, unit testing, familiarity with design patterns, Xcode, experience with UIKit.
- Influence architecture decisions and technology stack selection, and help steer overall product direction.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to shape features and user experiences.
- Implement high-quality, scalable code while maintaining performance and security standards.
- Rapidly iterate and adapt to evolving requirements and ambiguous contexts.
- Continuously refine the app's user experience to support and enhance merchants' daily operations.
- Drive innovation and help to establish best practices for the team.
