About the Role

We are seeking a
Principal Data Engineer
to join a high-performing Data & Analytics Operations team within a global organization working with large-scale connectivity solutions. With more than
1.8 million connected assets
, you will help shape how data, analytics, and AI/ML power next-generation digital services.

You will play a key role in the
final phase of a Databricks platform migration
, while contributing to the creation of scalable data assets and analytics models for wide organizational use.


What You Will Do

Lead development of scalable, high-performance data pipelines

Support the final delivery phase of the Databricks migration

Build next-generation data assets and ML-ready datasets

Drive and influence ML & analytics architecture

Mentor team members in data engineering best practices

Ensure high-quality, production-grade code with CI/CD workflows

Work across the full data lifecycle—from ingestion to production models


What You Bring

We are looking for a
senior consultant
with deep expertise in
Machine Learning Engineering and Data Engineering
, especially in modern cloud environments.

Technical Expertise

Databricks (expert level):

  • Lakeflow & declarative pipelines
  • Unity Catalog
  • MLflow
  • Model training & serving
  • Agent Bricks, AI Gateway & evaluation tools

Programming & Tooling:

  • Python
  • PySpark
  • Bash
  • DAX
  • GitHub + GitHub Actions (CI/CD)
  • Strong software engineering foundations

Architecture:

  • ML Engineering best practices
  • Data Engineering patterns
  • Basic AWS knowledge (bonus)

Soft Skills

Strong communication & collaboration skills

Ability to coach and elevate team practices

Structured, solution-driven, and adaptable
