Suggested thesis topics

Here are some ideas to spark your interest — but we're just as excited to hear your own proposal

• AI-based frame interpolation
• High-performance labeling of audio and video streams

• eBPF/AF_XDP continuation (firewall or performance improvements)
• Integrate high-performance video dataplane in SmartNIC
• Common causes for jitter when streaming media in a linux-system. Possibly comparing clouds with VMs with bare metal
• SDI input and output on FPGA
• AI cloud cost saving using multi cloud strategies

Each project is suitable for 1–2 students.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for curious minds with a solid technical foundation and a passion for problem-solving:

• Basic knowledge of networking and virtualization
• Comfortable in Linux
• Skills in C++, Python or
• For the FPGA-oriented projects, experience with VHDL is required

But most importantly — we're looking for people who bring energy, creativity and a genuine passion for technology.
