Your role and responsibilities

Join our Ports business line within ABB's Marine & Ports division and become part of a truly international, forward-thinking team. Whether you already work in sales or have experience in customer-facing roles and are ready to explore a more dedicated sales position, this could be your next exciting move.

As a sales Specialist, you'll play a key role in our sales team, focusing on our customers' requirements and driving business forward. You'll work closely with our technical experts to understand client needs, shape tailored solutions and help turn ideas into impactful projects. No two days are the same – our projects range from advanced automated terminal systems to customized technology solutions for ports around the world.

You'll be part of a diverse and supportive team based in Västerås, with colleagues from different countries, backgrounds, and generations. We value collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning – and we believe that great results come from working together.

What you'll do

  • Using your internal network and colleagues, you will drive tender preparation
  • Connect with supplier around tenders
  • Identify new opportunities and create customized proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to build trust and deliver value.
  • Lead cost calculations, evaluate scope, and manage deviations.
  • Participate in technical and commercial negotiations.
  • Represent ABB with professionalism and integrity.

Your background

  • A technical background (degree or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience working with customers – in sales or other customer-facing roles.
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for creating solutions.
  • Experience in managing commercial deals is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English; other languages are a bonus.
  • Willingness to travel when needed.
