The Role:

We are seeking a skilled
Platform Engineer
to join our Engineering Data Hub team. This role focuses on developing data-intensive applications that enable large-scale ingestion, processing, and management of vehicle sensory data. You will design and build scalable backend systems that handle petabytes of data, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and seamless integration across diverse platforms.

Area of Responsibility

  • Design and develop backend systems for large-scale data ingestion and processing.
  • Build cloud-native solutions leveraging Kubernetes and distributed computing frameworks.
  • Implement robust, scalable services to manage data from millions of connected devices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle: problem definition, design, coding, testing, and operations.
  • Optimize performance for high-volume data pipelines and event-driven architectures.

Knowledge / Experience

  • Programming Languages: Python, Go, Java, Scala.
  • Cloud Platforms: Azure, AWS; experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Big Data Technologies: Apache Spark, Kafka, MQTT, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg.
  • DevOps Tools: Terraform, Crossplane, GitHub Actions, FluxCD, Helm, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Data Storage: Azure Data Lake and other large-scale storage solutions.
  • Event Streaming & Formats: Kafka, Protobuf, Arrow, Parquet.
  • Additional Expertise (Preferred):
  • Automotive data formats.
  • Data privacy and protection.
  • Graph technologies.
