Job Description

About the Role

Join the team that powers how the company earns, tracks, and reports revenue and taxes across all products and global markets. We build the backend and data systems that process millions of transactions daily, ensure financial accuracy, and support complex regulatory and tax requirements. We're also expanding into Tax Solutions, creating new capabilities for global tax reporting and compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Build scalable backend and data systems for tax calculation, billing, revenue recognition, and reporting.

  • Create self-serve tools that let Finance teams manage revenue and tax configurations without engineering support.

  • Develop modular, reusable platform components that standardize core financial workflows.

  • Lead new capabilities in the Tax Solutions space, especially for tax reporting and compliance.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Accounting, and Tax teams to design reliable, auditable systems.

  • Promote strong engineering practices, architecture, and operational excellence.

Qualifications
  • T-shaped engineer with depth in backend or data engineering and ability to work across both.

  • Experience with large-scale data processing (Spark/Flink/Beam, ideally Scala) and backend systems (Java).

  • Familiar with cloud-native development, ideally on GCP.

  • Strong fundamentals in system design and a focus on reliability, maintainability, and auditability.

  • Strong communicator who thrives in fast-changing environments and values collaboration, usability, and quality.

  • Curious, self-driven, and always looking to improve systems and processes.
