Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Vision Systems Engineer (with Robot Integration) to be based at our customer site in Gothenburg.

The role:

The
Vision Systems Engineer
(with Robot Integration)
is responsible for configuring, calibrating, and commissioning advanced machine vision systems integrated with robotic and PLC platforms. This role ensures high-precision inspection, defect detection, and adaptive motion control in automated manufacturing environments. By collaborating closely with robotics, PLC, and process engineering teams, the engineer drives seamless integration and continuous improvement of vision-guided operations, contributing to enhanced product quality and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, calibrate, and commission machine vision systems integrated with robots and PLCs.

  • Work with Robotics Programmers to establish robot-vision offsets, calibration matrices, and adaptive motion logic.

  • Perform online teaching, lighting setup, and inspection algorithm validation.

  • Support quality inspection and defect detection in automated lines.

  • Collaborate with PLC/robot teams for communication setup and test validation.

  • Document recipes, calibration parameters, and inspection performance results.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Cognex, Keyence, SICK, or similar vision systems.

  • Experience integrating vision feedback with robot motion for pick, weld, or dispense applications.

  • Knowledge of optical calibration, image processing, and lighting techniques.

  • Integration experience with industrial automation systems (PLC, MES).
