We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support the entities managed by Vitrolife Sweden. With us, you will have the chance to grow both personally and professionally, and to help shape the journey towards a more digitalised Finance function. This position is based at our office in Gothenburg.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be involved in accounting, financial closing, analysis, and reporting, as well as the optimisation of internal processes and procedures. It includes hands on daily accounting activities, analysis and coordination, performing closings and reporting. This role is highly communicative, involving numerous touchpoints within the organisation. A curious, collaborative, and hands-on approach is key, as the role requires working across all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Daily accounting activities and reconciliations
• Fixed asset accounting
• Inventory accounting
• Cash management
• Accounts receivable and accounts payable, payroll
• Improvement of internal processes, routines, digitalization, and workflow optimisation.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have an academic background and several years of relevant experience in a similar role with qualified accounting and closing. A strong interest in financial systems and processes, along with advanced Excel skills, is essential. Experience in auditing is an advantage. You are used to working with tight deadlines and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

We are looking for a positive, solution-oriented person who enjoys working closely with business operations. A proactive work approach, attention to details, and a focus on quality are key attributes. Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken, is required.
