This master thesis aims to identify areas for improvement and develop an AI-driven automated solution that enhances efficiency and accuracy.

Description of the master thesis

This Master Thesis aims at analysing and optimising the current Transport Request process through AI-driven automation and integration with the IFS system.

The Transport Request process at Saab involves multiple steps, from creation to completion, and currently relies heavily on manual input. This can lead to delays and errors, affecting overall operational efficiency. The goal of this thesis is to identify areas where AI can improve the process, develop an automated solution, and integrate it with the existing IFS system. The project will involve data collection, process analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. By leveraging AI, we aim to create a more intelligent and adaptive Transport Request process that reduces manual effort, enhances operational performance, and provides valuable insights for continuous improvement.

The team responsible for this project is part of the planning and execution of ongoing production within the product unit Giraffe 1X. The Giraffe 1X is a cuting-edge radar system designed to provide superior surveillance and air defence capabilities. You are at the end of your Master's degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field and about to start your Master Thesis work for 30 HP. Interest or experience in process mapping, automation tools, and AI technologies is an advantage.
