Roles & Responsibilities:
Job Summary:
The Band 2 – Desktop Technician provides day-to-day local and remote desktop support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and application issues, and documenting resolutions in a ticketing system. The role ensures operational consistency across shifts and involves Break Fix, fault diagnosis, and resolution for Windows environments.
Experience:
2–3 years in Windows Desktop Support
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 & 2 desktop support and resolve customer issues.
- Handle VIP user support and communicate issue status promptly.
- Work with vendors to resolve complex AV issues.
- Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows (XP–10), Microsoft Office, Cisco Jabber, and authorized desktop applications.
- Basic Mac OS support for Apple users.
- Maintain and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and workstation issues.
- Support projects requiring flexibility and teamwork.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
- Minimum 18 months of IT experience.
- Proficient in Windows 7–10, Active Directory, GPOs, MS Office 365, hardware installation, antivirus, and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of mobile device management (iOS/Android), encryption, and AD-based PC management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Flexible to work off-hours and weekends when required.
Additional:
- Mentor and assist Band 1 Technicians and support Band 3 Engineers in resolving tickets.
