Roles & Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

The Band 2 – Desktop Technician provides day-to-day local and remote desktop support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and application issues, and documenting resolutions in a ticketing system. The role ensures operational consistency across shifts and involves Break Fix, fault diagnosis, and resolution for Windows environments.

Experience:
2–3 years in Windows Desktop Support

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 1 & 2 desktop support and resolve customer issues.
  • Handle VIP user support and communicate issue status promptly.
  • Work with vendors to resolve complex AV issues.
  • Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot Windows (XP–10), Microsoft Office, Cisco Jabber, and authorized desktop applications.
  • Basic Mac OS support for Apple users.
  • Maintain and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity and workstation issues.
  • Support projects requiring flexibility and teamwork.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Certifications: CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP).
  • Minimum 18 months of IT experience.
  • Proficient in Windows 7–10, Active Directory, GPOs, MS Office 365, hardware installation, antivirus, and ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of mobile device management (iOS/Android), encryption, and AD-based PC management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Flexible to work off-hours and weekends when required.

Additional:

  • Mentor and assist Band 1 Technicians and support Band 3 Engineers in resolving tickets.
