Who is your future team?

Trade Compliance at Axis Communications consists of 14 professionals of different ages, genders, nationalities, experiences, and backgrounds. This diversity makes us stronger and adds flavor and joy to our workplace.

The Trade Compliance department includes two teams: the Export Compliance team, which ensures that Axis complies with export control regulations worldwide and that our high-tech products are not supplied to restricted countries, parties, or users, and the Customs Compliance team, which ensures that import and export activities are performed in a compliant and efficient manner while minimizing customs costs. You will focus on Customs Compliance.

What you will do as Customs Advisor:

You will ensure that import and export activities are carried out in a compliant and efficient manner. We handle the import and export process both in-house and through customs brokers in certain markets. This means that you will be responsible for broker management as well as supporting the import and export activities handled directly by Axis Communications.

You will assess HS codes for our products in both the EU and the US, and participate in projects ensuring that Axis complies with CBAM, EUDR, and similar regulations. Another important part of your role will be to raise awareness about import and export rules and regulations among stakeholders within Axis, helping them make informed decisions that ensure compliance and minimize customs duties.

You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including Sales, Sourcing, Material Supply, Purchasing, Logistics, Legal, Distribution, Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Chambers of Commerce, and Customs Authorities.

As a Customs Advisor you will be involved in:

• Import and export activities
• HS classification of products
• Apply for BTI (Binding tariff information)
• Determine Country of origin of products
• Act as center of expertise for customs topics and actively contribute to problem solving and root cause analysis
• Identify and drive improvement activities related to tools, processes, and ways of working
• Contribute in cross functional projects
• Lead meetings and present information in larger groups

Who are you?

You have the ability to communicate the importance and benefits of customs and trade compliance across Axis globally.

You take responsibility, have strong organizational skills, and are able to see both the details and the bigger picture, allowing you to make the right priorities. You collaborate easily across organizational boundaries, building strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders.

We'd love to hear that you have/are:

• Education within Customs and International Trade
• Experience working within Customs and International Trade positions
• Experience from working in an international organization
• Experience working in an ERP system
• Project leading experience
• Fluent in English, both written and verbally
