Vendor Specialist Ignition

Job overview:
The role of Vendor Specialist is to support, generate and sell to all size Vendor sales opportunities to Ignition's partners. You will become an expert in your designated Technology and will be a focal point for sales enquiries in your area of expertise. You will be advising our partners, providing them with quotations with our quoting team and assist them in developing and closing the business opportunities. You will also help partners to work strategically with the Ignition Technology security portfolio.
Accountabilities and activities:
Your key responsibilities include achieving the sales targets, closing business, and engaging with SMB partners and opportunities.
You will help to develop and grow accounts to increase Ignitions market coverage/presence and help Ignition to become the "go to" security software distributor.
- Ownership of up to 5 Vendors
- Managing a Forecast & Pipeline
- Deal with incoming opportunities
- Bring on new and existing partners for vendors
- Understand the Ignition sales process and Vendor quoting and order process and sales cycles.
- Articulate the Vendor solution and the Ignition proposition
- Achieve Monthly and Quarterly Targets
- Target and identify larger opportunities running lead gen activities through partners and marketing
- Partner onboarding
Essential skills and experience:
- Sales experience with in the IT channel
- Experience of working in a target driven sales environment
- Track record of success and closing business
- Basic knowledge of IT
- Able to pass the HM Government Baseline Personnel Security Standard test – this means you should be an EU national.
