Senior Fullstack Developer

Now, we need you, your ambition and your skills to join us in an exciting opportunity as we launch a brand-new pension advisory service at Sambla Group. You will be joining a team of experts, building a customer-facing product at an early stage of development and making a strong impact on the product and customer experience.

You will be part of a vertically integrated product team including business development, sales & advisory and design. We need you who enjoys being engaged in the product development process and actively participating in discovery and prioritisation with an ability to balance delivery speed versus technical necessities.

We are looking for a skilled and well-rounded senior developer, who is curious about learning new technologies, comfortable researching and implementing sound and scalable technological choices and solutions, and vocal in brainstorming sessions to effectively contribute to the best possible outcome. We specifically appreciate a tinkering and enquiring mindset, willing to experiment with solutions on a small scale as a way to unpack a problem.

We expect you to not shy away from interacting with the full team and asking extensive questions as part of the discovery process. We are keen to look into any public repositories you may want to share on your Github.

Our primary languages are TypeScript and JavaScript, with powering our backend, and React (JS/TS) for our frontend framework.

Our system consists of AWS lambda services in a serverless architecture defined by AWS CDK stacks that utilize multiple serverless services in the AWS infrastructure. The system is powered by a Neptune graph database.

As a department, we continuously strive to enhance our skillsets, tools, and working environment. Parts of achieving this is through our architecture forum and a strong focus on developer experience.

Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and implement the platform for the new product.

Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the system to ensure good product fit and technical excellence.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of the product by actively seeking feedback and providing innovative solutions.

Participate in creating efficient development processes in a team that is starting from scratch.

Engage in highly mission driven sessions on a daily basis to facilitate rapid development.

Proven track record as a developer with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with full stack responsibility and high shipping frequency

Relevant Computer Science or Engineering Education at least at BA level.

Solid understanding of software development principles and methodologies

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

We value experience or familiarity with our chosen technologies such as , React, graph databases, Docker, AWS and microservice architecture, but for the right candidate who has shown curiosity in different technologies and architectures, we will provide the necessary learning environment to quickly get up to speed with our stack and ways of working.

Work directly with a senior developer with extensive domain knowledge, gaining valuable insights and mentorship.
