Business Application Specialist
As Business Applications Specialist, your primary goal is getting Xylem's products into the sales systems and working according to real world application and function. You will be responsible for product upgrades and product launches, program development, adding new functions to the systems, market communications and training such as holding workshops and trainings. You will provide testing oversight and perform quality assurance in support of strategic corporate and/or department projects utilizing sales systems.
In this position, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders and customers, to understand business needs and objectives and continuously deliver automation and intelligence to advance business objectives.
You will be responsible for working with the business and subject matter expert teams to turn business knowledge and expertise into specifications and drive that specification from concept to launch.
Your Responsibility Includes
- Create, manage and deliver specifications for program improvements
- Convert specifications into system documentation and training material
- Create project timelines in accordance with product launches
- Manage development for new functions to align with product launches
- Maintain and enhance key internal business applications
- Recommend enhancements to systems to improve efficiency and deliver more value
- Work with users to provide training, solve problems and correct errors
As the role requires close contacts with the markets, some flexibility to travel is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering (or equivalent working experience)
- Project management skills
- Mastery of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
- Trained or have experience in writing requirement specifications for IT projects
- Fluency in English both written and oral is essential.
- Experience with selection or configuration software, such as Tacton CPQ, is also highly desired.
As a person you are goal and result oriented and takes initiatives. You have good presentation skills and know how to explain complex ideas in a simple way, on all levels. You are service-minded, attentive to detail, analytical and have strong problem-solving ability. You like teamwork and to create results through a team. You are IT and tech-savvy and are good at coming up with edge ideas.
