Mission The main mission of the role is to provide & support project vehicle and rig rebuilds with Electrical parts and secure EE HW related to SW version, mainly non EE trucks. Be a front office in Tuve and manage back office when the respective Projects perform their C & P builds. This role represent EE PM in different foras. This role is also to act as a communication link between the fleet of trucks (FVV) and the EE development groups in any given project with EE involvement. From a project view BUM/BUL should closely monitor pre-production builds, updates and rebuilds to secure the interests of the E&EE as well as communicating all issues to the responsible development groups and to make sure that the appropriate actions are taken. The BUM/BUL acts only in appointed projects. Responsibilities Key responsibilities
• Support EE PM, FVV FM, Product Build Project Leader and EE Implementation Support the project with related parts and information to the respectively rebuild.
• To give support to project vehicles built in Pilot Plant and main line in Tuve and be part of forum for quality securement if applicable at local site.
• Support builds- rebuilds- and update plans (V&V) with E&EE input to the concerned project
• Represent the EE PM and E&EE in Vehicle update meeting (VUM) and Rig update meetings (RUM).
• Order E&EE material for project development vehicles and rigs by creating MR (Modification Requests) and LC (Late Change) 1:1 material only for project related rebuilds and according to test specifications.
• To represent E&EE in project related meetings to secure rebuilds the E&EE material in project builds. Authorities
• Authority to reject requirements that are impossible to reach
• Authority to prioritize between different EE tasks on project trucks
• Set up Back Office and manage the backoffice
• To represent EE PM and E&EE in VUM / RUM
• To order components in compliance with "Volvo GTT authorizations directives"
• Direct contact with buyers to address order and delivery issues. Competence area
• Leadership and project management skills
• Be self-driven, take initiative and have a problem solving mindset with a high degree of flexibility
• Experience from the Automotive industry is a merit
• General knowledge in complete truck configuration and application i.e. KOLA variants
• Knowledge in vehicle electrical and electronics
• Questioning and curiosity is critical for the assignment
• High knowledge in component ordering process / tools and AB Volvos PDM systems such as KOLA, EDB, PROTOM and PROSIT
• Excellent communication skills to enable that correct information is given at the right level
• Proven administrative skills, including office tools
• Fluent in written and spoken Swedish / English Role context This role acts in:
