Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Development Engineer with a background in Railway Engineering to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of our next-generation optical and inertial measuring systems for various railway applications. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects and see your work directly impact the future of railway technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and Development: Conduct research into new technologies and methodologies for optical and inertial measurement in railway environments. This includes exploring advancements in sensor technology, data processing algorithms, and system integration techniques.
System Design: Design and develop hardware and software components for optical and inertial measuring systems. This involves selecting appropriate sensors (e.g., LiDAR, cameras, accelerometers, gyroscopes), designing optical layouts, and developing embedded software for data acquisition and processing for detecting track irregularities and faults.
Prototyping and Testing: Build and test prototypes of measuring systems in both laboratory and field environments. This will involve conducting rigorous testing to validate system performance, accuracy, and reliability under various operational conditions.
Data Analysis and Algorithm Development: Develop and implement algorithms for processing and analyzing data collected from optical and inertial sensors.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software developers, and railway experts, to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the measuring systems.
Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
Compliance: Ensure that all developed systems comply with relevant railway industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree or Master's degree pending in Railway Engineering and education in Electrical Engineering
Language Skills: English, Hindi (Since we have close partners in India)
Experience: Proven experience in the development of optical or inertial measurement systems within the railway sector.
Technical Skills:
Experience in rail corrugation analysis using advanced signal processing techniques.
Strong interest in and understanding of railway engineering principles, including track geometry, vehicle dynamics, and railway infrastructure.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB for data acquisition, processing, and algorithm development.
Experience with inertial measurement units (IMUs), including accelerometers and gyroscopes, and their integration into navigation and measurement systems.
Knowledge of signal processing techniques and data analysis methods.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
