Our client, a leading global provider of building-industry technology and engineering solutions, is seeking a
Design Engineer
to join its expanding EMEA team. The organisation is recognised for developing advanced software, engineered building components and automated solutions that help modernise construction workflows. With thousands of colleagues worldwide, the business partners across the industry to reshape how buildings are designed, manufactured and assembled.

The role:

This role is based in
Skellefteå
, where our client has a dedicated team of developers and designers collaborating on next-generation building technologies. You will join a close-knit Customer Experience team and play a key part in delivering high-quality timber structure designs using industry-leading software.

Our client operates a
hybrid working model
, with three days per week in the office and two days of optional remote work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design roof, floor and wall timber structures to client specifications, applying sound engineering principles and relevant building codes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects and building officials on customer component design projects.
  • Develop field repair solutions for truss components using appropriate engineering judgement.
  • Provide technical support to customers across software and engineering matters via phone, video calls, email or on-site visits.
  • Deliver software training sessions for both individuals and larger groups at customer events throughout Scandinavia.
  • Provide structural training to industry professionals and students.
  • Work closely with the development team to report feedback, usability insights and system bugs.
  • Actively contribute to the wider EMEA technical team.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 7+ years' experience in a structural design environment within the building industry.
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make evidence-based decisions.
  • Skilled in influencing and negotiating with stakeholders at all organisational levels.
  • Strong technical capability for complex problem solving and process innovation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both
    Swedish and English
