Aftermarket Engineer

Vaxholm with Hybrid working

The Role:

In the role of aftermarket engineer you will take the lead in planning, designing, and delivering innovative equipment for projects linked to previously delivered vehicles. You'll ensure every project meets technical standards, stays on schedule and budget, and complies with safety and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role where your expertise drives real impact and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Plan, design, and manage maintenance, service, and upgrade projects for delivered crafts and equipment.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs, specifications, and feasibility studies for service and upgrade projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to achieve project objectives.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present project reports, liaise with regulatory bodies for permits, and conduct site inspections and audits.
  • Collaborate on procurement, oversee handover to operations, and provide training and documentation as needed.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Solid experience in the design, planning and management of design and maintenance projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering systems, standards and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations effectively.
