Role Summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.
We are seeking a Development Engineer to join our Autonomous Logging team. This role offers a unique opportunity of being at the heart of real-time data collection for our autonomous vehicles, enabling data driven operations for all our customers.

Job Responsibilities
As a Development Engineer, you will, together with the team, enable a critical component of the autonomous system, i.e., develop and maintain software and tools to enable real-time platform data collection and offloading to our data lakehouse.

Among other things, you will:

• Process, encode, and record high volumes of data from multiple data streams and formats
• Leverage optimal data storage solutions
• Create robust APIs
• Design analytics and their visualization for the data collection solution.

Who You Are
We like people that are team players, attentive and humble with the ability to drive the technical development forward. You have technical experience in the areas of software development, computer science, or a relevant related field.

The requirements for the job are as follows:

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering, or a relevant related field
• Knowledge and experience with Python and C++ along with a keen interest in programming
• Knowledge and experience with Linux and industry standard DevOps tools like Gitlab
• Proficient in English, both in writing and in speech

Extra meritorious is:

• Experience with Agile framework and methodology
• Experience with containerizing and packaging software
• Experience with hardware and software integration
• Experience with AWS
