Assignment Overview

We are seeking a Senior Integration Developer to design and build a microservice that will serve as a shim layer between a customer experience platform and an external AI service. The solution will run in a Kubernetes-based PaaS environment hosted in AWS and integrate with AI services hosted in Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend and microservice development, deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes and AWS, and the ability to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance integration solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy a microservice in AWS Kubernetes to connect a customer engagement platform with external AI services.
  • Design and expose REST or streaming API endpoints ensuring low-latency, high-performance communication.
  • Manage real-time data routing and interaction between the customer platform and Azure-hosted AI platforms.
  • Ensure data security, authentication, and compliance with enterprise-grade standards.
  • Build for scalability, fault tolerance, and observability in a real-time integration environment.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code following best development practices.
  • Collaborate with architects and DevOps engineers to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring.
  • Document architecture, design patterns, and operational guidelines for the integration layer.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in backend or microservice development (Java, , or Python).
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS), Helm, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid knowledge of AWS (EKS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, etc.).
  • Experience working with Azure-based AI services and APIs.
  • Familiarity with event-driven and real-time communication protocols (WebSockets, gRPC, streaming).
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, data protection, and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
