Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer – Deployment Specialist to join our clients infrastructure and DevOps team. This role is ideal for professionals with deep experience in managing complex, multi-cluster, and multi-region deployments on AWS, and a strong command of cloud-native technologies and CI/CD automation tools.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based deployments with a high degree of automation, scalability, and resilience. You will play a key role in streamlining deployment workflows, ensuring high availability, and enabling continuous delivery across distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, and manage multi-cluster and multi-region AWS infrastructure.
  • Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for scalability, security, and performance.
  • Implement and manage deployment pipelines using Harness, Jenkins, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Integrate and manage messaging and streaming systems using Apache Kafka.
  • Utilize Cilium for container networking and security policies within Kubernetes.
  • Work with Gradle for build automation in complex Java-based environments.
  • Develop automation and tooling in Python to support infrastructure and deployment needs.
  • Administer and troubleshoot Unix/Linux based systems and environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth software delivery.
  • Implement best practices in infrastructure as code (IaC), security, and observability.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven hands-on experience with AWS, specifically in multi-cluster and multi-region environments.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes administration and Helm.
  • Experience with Harness or other deployment orchestration tools.
  • Solid understanding of Kafka setup and operations in cloud environments.
  • Working knowledge of Cilium for Kubernetes networking and security policies.
  • Strong command of Unix/Linux systems administration.
  • Experience with Gradle in large-scale build environments.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and tooling.
  • Experience in configuring and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and secure deployment practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
