We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support mission-critical systems delivery on a major data centre project in Gävle, Sweden.

About the Opportunity

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a key role in the safe and structured commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and mission-critical systems within a hyperscale data centre environment. You will work alongside a high-performing technical team ensuring all systems meet design intent, safety standards, and operational readiness requirements.

Data centre commissioning experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute commissioning activities across mechanical, electrical, and building services systems
  • Perform system testing, inspection, verification, and documentation
  • Ensure all commissioning processes meet safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, design, and client teams
  • Support FAT/SAT, integrated systems testing, and handover procedures
  • Maintain accurate commissioning logs, reports, and sign-off documentation
  • Identify system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support corrective actions
  • Uphold strict commissioning protocols within a live hyperscale environment

Experience Required

  • Proven data centre commissioning experience (essential)
  • Strong understanding of MEP systems and mission-critical environments
  • Ability to coordinate commissioning activities across various disciplines
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Experience working on fast-paced, highly regulated engineering projects
  • Ability to work rotational schedules abroad

Candidate Requirements

  • EU citizenship or valid right to live/work in Sweden
  • Must be seeking permanent employment, self-employed/day-rate candidates will not be considered
  • Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving and system troubleshooting capability
