Resin and Ligand Design is a department (~110 persons) that belongs to the Resin and Technology and Filtration R&D. Typical products developed from the department are chromatography resins and other consumables used in BioPharma manufacturing.

We are currently seeking a Master's level student to join our R&D team in a project focused on data management and machine learning. Your work will help accelerate the development of products used in the manufacturing of leading biological drugs.

What You Will Do
This position emphasizes the management and utilization of scientific data. The ideal candidate should be passionate about data science and eager to apply it in a real-world bioprocessing context.

  • Develop a software platform for storing and managing scientific data.
  • Build a machine learning model to predict reaction conditions for desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with chemists to validate and refine the model.
  • Independently plan and execute tasks to meet project objectives.
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges during project work.
  • Document and present results both orally and in writing.
  • Work in accordance with Cytiva's policies and guidelines.

Who You Are

  • Master's student in Science or Engineering with a focus on chemistry, biochemistry, or biotechnology.
  • Eligible for master thesis work between January 2026 – June 2026.
  • Hands-on experience in data management and developing predictive systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Goal-oriented and self-driven personality.
  • Good interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English.
