Management Consultant – Strategic Sourcing

Procure it Right (PIR) is seeking a management consultant within cost optimization & strategic sourcing to join our team. In this role, you will support our clients to optimize costs and increase the value created by procurement by reshaping their sourcing strategies and redesigning how they buy across a wide range of categories.

You will play a crucial role in shaping and implementing solutions for client challenges, with a strong focus on cost optimization, cost reduction and high-impact negotiations, including designing and running RFP/RFX processes and strategic sourcing events.

Key Responsibilities

• Build trusted relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring engagement, transparency and measurable impact
• Drive cost optimization projects by identifying savings opportunities, developing sourcing strategies, executing initiatives and ensuring value realization
• Understand clients' spend, sourcing needs and procurement challenges across categories to identify opportunities
• Develop category and procurement strategies that increase value for clients
• Translate business needs into sourcing strategies, ensuring strong cross-functional buy-in and driving decision-making
• Design and execute strategic sourcing initiatives and RFP/RFQ events from requirements definition to supplier selection and contracting
• Run high-impact negotiations with suppliers to secure commercial value, quality and risk mitigation

Key Requirements

• 6–15 years in strategic sourcing and procurement, preferably across multiple categories and industries
• Experience from management consulting is a strong plus, but not mandatory
• Hands-on experience from developing and executing on category & supplier strategies for maximized business value, as well as running end-to-end sourcing events (RFP/RFQ/RFX)
• Strong analytical skills and structured, quantitative problem-solving with a focus on cost optimization
• Academic degree (e.g. in business, engineering, economics or similar)
• Proven track record of delivering cost reduction and procurement performance improvements
• Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills; collaborative and hands-on approach
• Fluency in Swedish and English
