Karlskrona, Blekinge, Sweden Lysa Full time 450,000 - 750,000 per year

Lysa's vision is to set a new standard in savings through automation, efficiency and an unwavering dedication to our customers' best interests. We believe that many institutions work against their customers and we see a significant opportunity to establish a new financial champion.

We are on a mission to make it simpler for people to save smarter. To achieve this, we need to continuously develop our product and expand into new markets. We have an outstanding team, but to further accelerate growth, we need more talented colleagues. We are currently seeking a Risk Officer to join our team.

The opportunity

As a second line Risk Officer, you will play a key role in overseeing and supporting risk management within a financial services group that includes a securities company, a fund management company, and a life insurance company. The role aims to ensure that the company's risk exposures remain within its risk appetite, and that quantitative methods are used for the analysis, modeling, and monitoring of financial risks.

You will report to the Head of Risk Control and work closely with compliance, IT, legal, and product owners, and provide daily risk input to product development, balancing innovation with sound risk management. You will gain broad exposure to regulatory regimes (Solvency II, MiFID II, UCITS) and help shape risk oversight across a fast-growing financial group.

Key responsibilities

Monitor and evaluate non-financial and financial risks, including market risk, liquidity risk, underwriting risk, and counterparty risk.

Develop and validate quantitative risk models and contribute to the ORSA process.

Support executive management and the board with risk analyses and reporting, including key metrics, stress testing, and scenario analysis.

Follow up on the implementation of the company's risk management framework and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

Act as an advisor to the first line of defense on risk matters and contribute to developing a strong risk culture within the organization.

What we are looking for

You are analytical, structured and get things done. You thrive in an environment where you have a great influence and responsibility. You are solution-oriented and have a great commercial understanding and integrity.

We believe you share our values at Lysa and that you are eager to join us on our journey to become European champions in savings, investments and pensions. You are confident in navigating a fast-paced, digital environment where change is constant, and you are driven by the challenge of applying your risk and regulatory expertise to ensure robust frameworks that enable innovation and customer-centric solutions. You are motivated by the opportunity to influence how risk is integrated into decision-making and to build robust structures that scale as the company grows.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in risk management within an insurance company or other financial institution.

Proven experience with financial risks and quantitative analysis – e.g., risk modeling, stress testing, or valuation of financial instruments.

Experience with ORSA processes.

Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II, MiFID II or IFR.

University degree in finance, mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, or a related field.

Excellent analytical skills and experience working with large datasets using tools such as Excel, SQL, or similar.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English

What we offer

Lysa is one of Sweden's fastest growing FinTech companies - and the largest provider of digital discretionary portfolio management in the Nordics. Today Lysa has paying customers and we manage more than EUR 4bn. We have launched our platform in Denmark and Finland, and also in Germany. Our team of 75 has a mission-driven culture, a high employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS), and we work hard to have a significant impact on the European savings market. You will have the opportunity to participate in Lysa's long-term incentive program and thereby take part in Lysa's long-term growth.

We are a highly skilled and motivated team where earning trust and adding value is at the core of our collaborative culture.
