Role Overview

We are currently seeking a Lead Supervisor for Main Component Replacement to oversee our newly established teams in Sweden.

This position involves a 14/14 rotation schedule.

The ideal candidate will engage in a dynamic and diverse role, primarily focusing on main component replacements while also participating in the service and maintenance of wind turbines at various wind farms across the Nordic region.

A crucial aspect of this role is ensuring that all on-site operations prioritize safety. For electrical tasks, adherence to the Swedish electrical standard (SS-EN) is essential.

As the Lead Supervisor, you will be integral to a dedicated team executing mechanical, electrical, and lifting tasks during main component exchanges, alongside troubleshooting, maintenance, and inspections at customer wind farms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong leadership to manage a team of technicians, fostering their development and guiding their efforts.
  • Oversee main component exchanges, including Gearbox, Main Bearing, Generators, and Blades.
  • Actively supervise lifting operations on-site.
  • Plan mechanical safe systems of work.
  • Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on various wind turbine models.
  • Coordinate service operations and address product issues on customer equipment.
  • Assist in fulfilling contractual extra scopes of work.
  • Support service operations when not engaged in major component replacements.
  • Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards regarding HSE, Quality, and Service delivery.
  • Supervise team members, third-party technicians, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure successful delivery of required scopes.

Qualifications

A passion for renewable energy and a commitment to leading change are essential. Candidates should be proficient in both Swedish and English. We are looking for individuals who possess:

  • Experience in the wind industry, with training available for suitable candidates.
  • Familiarity with main component exchanges, with training provided for the right individual.
  • Proven leadership capabilities.
  • Desirable qualifications as an Appointed Person for Lifting Operations, with training available for suitable candidates.
  • Background in hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical systems.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to perform well under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • A flexible and enthusiastic approach to work, including the willingness to travel and work unsociable hours when necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
