Job Description

Role:

  • Responsible for managing and operating the CDX platform on Azure, including on-call support.
  • Offload product teams with CDX core components in Azure.
  • Manage CDX Firewall, ensuring secure communication and rules between cloud environments.
  • Exposure of applications publicly through CDX Frontdoor.
  • Application Gateways - exposing applications privately and routing traffic to applications.
  • Implement guardrails using policies, adhering to best practices from the Well Architected Framework.
  • Establish baseline cloud environments for product teams.
  • Personal Sandbox - explore cloud services as an individual.
  • Team Sandbox - explore cloud services as a team.
  • Deploy and run applications in Test & Prod environments.
  • Onboard product teams to the CDX platform.
  • Manage DNS.
  • Implement networking with Hub & Spoke architecture.
  • Provide security recommendations using Defender for Cloud.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions using cloud-native services, preferably Azure or other cloud providers like AWS or GCP.
  • Hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or similar roles from a Software Development or System Administration background.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Container and/or Serverless services in cloud environments.
  • Some experience with designing and implementing solutions using cloud-native API Gateway and API management services, preferably in Azure or other cloud providers.
  • Experience with writing automation scripts/tools using Bash, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go.
  • Understanding of Hub & Spoke architecture.
  • Understanding of networking architecture, including DNS, routing, subnet, NAT, CDN, load balancers, etc.
  • Understanding of Azure AD and access management concepts, such as AD groups and IAM.

Meritorious:

  • Hands-on experience using multiple cloud services based on use cases, preferably Azure or other cloud providers.
  • Understanding of security concepts, including Azure RBAC, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure policies, Firewall, etc.
  • Understanding of Azure Cloud Adoption Framework and Enterprise landing zone concepts.
