Luleå University of Technology is a leading institution in the fields of Field Robotics, Deep Learning, and Human-Computer Interaction. Our unique labs enable us to conduct cutting-edge research and develop innovative solutions for real-world problems.

The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (RAI) subject at our department of Computer Science and Electrical and Space Engineering is seeking excellent researchers to contribute to our growing activities. Our team conducts fundamental research in robotics, with a focus on Aerial, Ground, and Space robotics.

We aim to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications, leveraging our expertise in field robotics. Our research areas include robotics for mines, construction sites, aerial inspection of aging infrastructure, multi-robotic search and rescue, multi-sensorial fusion, and multi-robot coordination.

Our team has a strong European presence in R&D projects and has participated in the DARPA SUB-T challenge as part of the CoSTAR Team led by NASA/JPL. We are also part of the Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP), Sweden's largest individual research program.
