Key Responsibilities

As an HSE specialist at Hitachi ABB Power Grids, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching and supporting managers and production employees on health, safety, and sustainability matters.
  • Developing, implementing, and administering environmental programs to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Supporting the effective implementation of ISO standards and taking an active part in improvement programs and practices to promote a strong HSE culture.
  • Assisting in the HSE risk management process in the unit with production managers and production employees to ensure that all equipment and tools used in production meet relevant safety standards.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to report on, raise awareness, and gain commitment on HSE efforts and performance.

Your Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should have prior HSE experience, preferably from a similar industry. It is an advantage if you have prior experience working with environmental or sustainability tasks. You should also have knowledge of Health & Safety and Environment legislative requirements, as well as familiarity with Swedish OHS and environmental laws and regulations.

A pro-active mindset, good communication and influencing skills, and fluency in English and Swedish (both written and spoken) are essential for this position.
