Our TeamOur team in Örebro is growing, and we are currently seeking two Design Engineers to join us. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support to our internal sales organization and customers, as well as owning and driving development and design of the Johnson Pump Marine product line.
About the RoleIn this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing, designing, and project managing the product line JP Marine, including engineering ownership of the marine product portfolio.
- Managing project deliveries from concept to SOP, meeting budget in collaboration with the Engineering Manager.
- Engaging and working closely with other stakeholders, such as sales, operations, product management, and customer support, to provide technical support needed to our manufacturers and/or end customers.
- Participating in prototyping, including contacts with foundry for pre-production prototypes and other suppliers needed in the prototyping stage.
- Contributing to the preparation of technical/commercial requirements specification for new product development (NPD-projects).
- Registering new article numbers in SAP and ensuring data accuracy.
- Preparing technical reports and technical manuals, as well as required decision documents, such as drawings, calculations, and component analyses.
- Following up on products during manufacturing, test assembly, performance test, endurance test, and field test to verify the requirement specification and take corrective action as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in a design engineering role.
- Experience with 3D CAD software (Inventor preferred).
- Project management experience.
- Fluent Swedish and English in speaking and writing.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
While not required, experience with an ERP system (SAP preferred), experience in working within a global environment, and experience in a customer-facing role would be beneficial.
