In this critical role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our scrap yard, ensuring smooth execution, quality control, and meeting schedule requirements. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading teams, developing work plans, and implementing safety procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of truck and crane operators in their daily work.
  • Develop and implement work plans to achieve production targets, maintain high-quality standards, and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with other departments to drive continuous improvement and resolve operational issues.
  • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to optimize operations.

Required Skills:

  • Gymnasium diploma in a relevant field is preferred; a bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Process Engineering is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Experience from steel production in any production role, ideally within EAF/meltshop, scrap, or refractories.
  • Proven experience with safety protocols in heavy industrial environments.
  • Strong process knowledge and understanding of departmental technical equipment and safety procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; basic Swedish skills are seen as a plus.
