OpenTelemetry Advocate

We are seeking an OpenTelemetry Advocate to join our team at Grafana Labs. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching developers and other stakeholders how to build with OpenTelemetry.

You will participate in events, author content, write code, and appear in videos to educate and empower users. You will also work closely with product managers and engineers to help users build cool stuff.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in OpenTelemetry, with substantial experience with the collector, semantic standards, OTLP, or SDK development.

• Creating technical content to educate and empower developers & SREs; this can include sample applications, presentations, blog posts, and other materials
• Act as an ally and colleague of external practitioners who are getting started
• Build relationships with people across the Grafana & OTel communities, to support & inspire
• Provide feedback on our products; help be a conduit of what the community is saying, to help us improve the feedback loop between what users need and what Grafana delivers
