HPC Specialist

We are looking for an expert to join our team and contribute to designing, implementing, and maintaining top-notch High-Performance Computing infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

• Developing and deploying advanced HPC systems.
• Collaborating with the team to improve the underlying systems supporting atNorth's HPC as a Service offering.
• Ensuring customer HPC infrastructure runs efficiently, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
• Maintaining open communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Participating in the development of solutions to ensure customer success.

This role requires close collaboration with project management and leadership to ensure project deadlines are met. The reporting line will be to the HPC Manager based in Gothenburg.

To succeed in this position, you must possess in-depth knowledge of Linux System Administration and be proficient in Configuration Management. Relevant academic qualifications in computer science, informatics, or a related field from a technical university are necessary.

At least 5 years of experience in a similar role is required, along with a proven track record of successful implementations. A deep understanding of cloud solutions, expertise in virtualization systems, network management, and data storage design across multiple platforms is highly desirable.

Familiarity with tools like Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Kubernetes, and integration with Git is also beneficial. Strong scripting skills in bash/python and experience with programming languages such as Java/Golang are necessary.
