Job Description

Location: Lilla Edet, Sweden

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Edet Mill. As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for providing a professional and comprehensive Health and Safety function that meets legislative and business needs.

About Edet Mill

  • Located in Sweden, Edet Mill is a tissue production site with an annual capacity of approximately 100,000 tons of tissue.
  • The mill features advanced technology machine lines and is the first large-scale facility to produce tissue paper without fossil-based CO2 emissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage emergency preparedness and business continuity on site.
  • Oversee ISO 45001 compliance, including internal and external audits.
  • Develop a Health and Safety strategy towards a mature culture.
  • Support managers in the implementation and maintenance of Health and Safety practices.
  • Stay informed of legal requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct necessary training related to safety systems and standards.
  • Support the Site Manager in implementing company standards and goals.
  • Lead incident management and investigations.
  • Develop and lead forums for safety improvements.
  • Manage the company's reporting platform implementation.
  • Coach and implement Safety leadership programs on site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Experience as a Safety and Health Manager in a large production organization.
  • Proven leadership and coaching experience in safety culture development.
  • Experience with TPM is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
