About the Role

We are seeking a talented Sustainable Transport Solutions Specialist to join our team at Volvo Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of sustainable transport solutions.

Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to resolve technical problems for the Autonomous Transport System (ATS). This aims to enhance system availability while minimizing costs. Resolving technical problems and addressing questions reported in our case handling system, via email, and over the phone are core aspects of our support operations.

For major technical issues arising from Customer Implementation Projects (CIPs), we build detailed cases and report these to the Uptime Response Team. This meticulous documentation prepares the issues for the Product Maintenance process, ensuring they are addressed comprehensively.

Regular, documented customer visits are essential to our support strategy. These visits include follow-up on technical problems and solutions, as well as urgent troubleshooting activities on-site. This hands-on approach allows us to address issues promptly and maintain strong customer relationships.

In collaboration with the Operations Manager, we diligently follow up on product updates to keep our offerings current and effective. Working closely with technical writers and maintainability engineers, we ensure that operator, parts, service, and repair information is always up-to-date and accurate.

As the primary contact for fault-tracing requests, we play a crucial role in identifying and resolving issues quickly. Our involvement in development projects includes providing technical support, defining requirements, and conducting Fault Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) work. This contributes to a high level of maintainability for the ATS.

Our contribution to Life-Cycle Cost work involves proposing alternative technical solutions that enhance the maintainability of machines, vehicles, and systems. By doing so, we help to optimize operational efficiency and reduce long-term costs.

Ensuring the initial stock of spare parts for CIPs readiness is another critical task. This preparation guarantees that our projects are well-equipped to handle any technical challenges that may arise.
