Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement highly available SQL Server clusters across development and production environments.
  • Disaster Recovery and Backup: Establish disaster recovery, backup, and restore strategies, and support intersystem replication.
  • Cloud Operations and Infrastructure: Lead efforts to automate cloud operations and infrastructure, balancing cost and performance.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Collaborate and consult with application teams to determine appropriate schema design and database platforms.
  • Database Performance and Troubleshooting: Provide expert troubleshooting support and proactively improve database and server performance.
  • Best Practices and Documentation: Define, document, and evangelize best practices and recommended technologies.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (2014/2016/2019).
  • AWS Services: Demonstrated ability provisioning and leveraging AWS services.
  • Automation and Cloud: Passionate about automating cloud/database/maintenance operations.
  • Autonomy and Learning: Self-starter who thrives in an autonomous environment and has a strong desire to learn new technologies and explore new database engines.
