High Voltage Design Expert

At Hitachi Energy, we're enabling the green energy transition by developing and manufacturing DC transmission systems. We're looking for a skilled High Frequency Design Engineer to join our HVDC business unit in Ludvika.
As a member of our team, you'll work on high-voltage (hundreds of kV) and high-power (GW) topics, combining technical expertise with common sense to deliver cost-effective solutions. Your tasks will include performing studies and Finite Element simulations, converting theoretical results into reality, and contributing to R&D activities to stay competitive.
Your Background
We're looking for a Master of Science degree in an electrical field, applied physics, power systems, or similar. Experience is beneficial, but not required. You should have a keen interest in mechanical aspects and be able to combine Amps, Volts, and Newton in your design. A positive attitude, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn are essential in this role.
