Job Description:We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Java Engineer to join our Platform mission that enables xx engineers to effectively utilize cloud infrastructure by providing a platform for infrastructure composition. Our declarative infrastructure is built on top of Kubernetes and we work closely with Google to ensure our platform scales with the growing number of managed resources at xx.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop a platform that enables infrastructure as code at xx, with the entire engineering organization as our users.
- Collaborate closely with our sister platform squads and become a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional team.
- Develop and maintain high-performance services and deploy and operate services on Linux.
- Work with Kubernetes, GKE, and Google Cloud Platform to ensure seamless infrastructure management.
- Participate in the design, analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting of large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with Kubernetes, GKE, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledgeable in how to write distributed, high-performance services and experienced in deploying and operating services on Linux.
- Passionate about infrastructure as code.
- Experience with Java and/or Go.
- Equipped with a systematic problem-solving approach coupled with effective communication skills and drive.
