About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cobol developer to join our team at Consultingit. As a Cobol developer, you will be responsible for handling the development and maintenance of system integrations.

You will be working in an agile team that uses Scrum and SAFe as frameworks. Our systems are built in Cobol and run on mainframe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain system integrations
  • Work with the team to identify and implement new features and improvements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless integration and communication
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and tools to improve efficiency
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Cobol and mainframe environments
  • At least 5 years of experience in mainframe/zOS development
  • Experience with iCobol, DB2/SQL, JCL, and IDz
  • Knowledge of programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python
  • Ability to implement and drive the short- and long-term strategy for building, driving, and maintaining solutions
  • Experience in technical leadership and innovation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Fluency in English
